Yoga
Teaching yoga for over 15 years I believe in the beauty and simplicity of yoga when our practice allows an enquiry into our connection with life, a landing into body intelligence, a letting go of what is not necessary , for us to enjoy the wonder of being alive .
My practice is deeply inspired by the work of Vanda Scaravelli, my practice as a biodynamic cranio sacral therapist and my years of Continuum practice and meditation practice .
Julie has been practising yoga for over 25 years and teaching yoga since 2007 mostly to small groups, one to one, retreats and workshops.
Inspired by the work of Vanda Scaravelli , she has worked with key teachers in the lineage – John Stirk, Diane Long, Elizabeth Paunz, Liz Warrington and Gary Carter. She qualified as a biodynamic craniosacral practitioner in 2018, training at the Karuna Institute , Devon with Franklyn Sills.
Her personal journey in meditation of many years includes Vipassana and Open Dharma Deep Rest meditation.
She has been a Thai Massage therapist beginning in Thailand where she trained. And enjoyed a capoeira practice for many years beginning in Brazil where she lived , enjoying deep nature connection that remains as a core of her personal practice. She also brings her studies & background in the embodied movement practices; Continuum and BMC to her sharings. .
She offers yoga as a place of deep listening, compassion & enquiry, returning to the heart, letting go of the mechanics of posture and arriving into a deep connection with life.
A space of allowing that frees the breath awakens the spine, reconnects us to ground and our true potential.
Finding deeper levels of awareness where the body can open, freedom of movement express itself and our inherent health, vitality, and wholeness rekindle.
